Poorman, Alex (Semanko)
Alex (Semanko) Poorman, an Idaho native, has worked in private practice in both the Coeur d'Alene and Boise region for over six years and has experience handling divorce, child custody, child support, termination of parental rights, and guardianship/conservatorship matters. Outside of family law, she also has experience handling real property, real estate, contract, and general civil litigation matters. Alex has spent time working with a variety of client matters and brings her experience ready to find real-life solutions to your problems.
Alex grew up and graduated high school in Boise, Idaho. She received a full ride golf scholarship to attend undergraduate at Regis University in Denver, Colorado where she was captain of the women's varsity golf team. Later, Alex attended law school in Naples, Florida where she made dean's list and was on law review. In addition, Alex served as Co-President for the Environmental Law Society and organized various beach clean-up functions during her time there. Following law school and while studying for the bar, Alex worked for the U.S. House of Representatives Natural Resources Committee, Subcommittee on Water, Power and Oceans in Washington, D.C.
In her free time, Alex spends time with her husband and daughter and enjoys gardening, hiking and hitting the course from time to time. In addition, she is an avid supporter of the arts and various charitable organizations.
